Hello!
This is darci, and I'm offering to organize a NNN Members and Volunteers Only day trip to Bloedel Reserve.
This is a ferry, driving and walking outing.
If 7 or more are interested, we may be able to schedule a guided tour of the Reserve. If fewer are interested, we'll be fine wandering on our own. The paths and Reserve are not strenuous. I'm not a vigorous walker -- more stop and oogle plants-- kind of gal, and I love wandering around the Reserve.
Logistics:
Excluding wait time to get on the Kingston ferry, it will take about 1.5 hours to get to the Reserve.
Parking is very limited, so I tend to get there when the gate opens.
The Reserve is open Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 10-3 (last admission, all closed by 4:00); and Thursday-Sunday from 10-5 (last admission, all closed by 6:00)
Cost is $12.00 per person for the Reserve. We'd share the cost of the ferry to and fro evenly based on # of folks in the car.
There are no picnic grounds - no eating on the premises.
I'd be able to drive up to 5 people (including myself) in our Outback.
Here's a link to the Reserve's Website so you can learn more: |
