Thanks to each of you involved with and committed to furthering the work we do in our community model of neighbors helping neighbors. Thanks to you, we’ve grown from 33 people in our first year, to over 420 people just five years later! We’re averaging over 400 services each month, helping with those small little extra neighborly tasks which help our neighbors stay independent and connected.
As a growing non-profit, we need help to continue to build our community of volunteers in expanding our neighbors helping neighbors model. September 28 is National Good Neighbor Day, and a day we highlight the activities we provide daily to help seniors age well in the place they call home.
Today, we’re asking if you can donate money or time to help us continue to offer and expand the work we do. AND, we have great news - we had one generous donor step forward and offer to match dollar for dollar, up to $2,500 for this campaign. When another donor heard about this, they stepped forward to increase our matching goal up to $5,000! So, imagine how much more of an impact your donation can make – your donation doubles. $100 becomes $200 during this drive, with a total match up to $5,000 toward our overall goal of $10,000!
Every day, we count on people like you, our members, and our volunteers to achieve our mission. I often think about what it means to be a good neighbor. And, as an organization, we think about this too! For us, it means doing everything we can to meet requests from our neighbors. This month, I hope you can donate any amount that’s comfortable for you, or that you continue to donate your valuable time, or that you tune into our Facebook page as we post behind the scenes photos and thoughts from our volunteers on what it means to be a good neighbor.
Join us in sharing your comments with us, liking our posts, and sharing our posts with your community! Please visit our website (https://northwestneighborsnetwork.org/) for more information on how you can support this work, donate, and volunteer!
Sincerely,
Suzy Chandler - your NNN Community Board President |
