IMPORTANT: You must be able to walk 1/2 mile total, or even a bit farther. We can't guarantee the shuttle will be operating. A few mobile low-vision members have participated and found that they'd be comfortable doing the ride on their own in the future. If you normally use a wheelchair to get around, please let the Services team know you will be using your wheelchair at the time you reserve your spot so there's enough room in the car for your chair.

About this event
Do you need to get to SeaTac airport but don't want to drive or have to pay a ride-share service to get there? Have you considered taking the Light Rail, or any of the stops along the way, but you don't know how to use it?
NNN is offering escorted practice trips on the Light Rail 1 Line to SeaTac airport. This opportunity is only available to current NNN volunteers and members. Volunteer Eileen C will pick you up from home and demystify the whole process.
Space is limited, and advance registration is required. Please contact Services@NorthwestNeighborsNetwork.org, text or call 253-237-2848, and your name will be referred to Eileen. She will reach out to you to coordinate the details and confirm your registration.
We will begin at the Lynnwood Station Ride Store so you can purchase a Senior Orca card that drops the ride price to $1 each way if you meet the reduced fare guidelines. If you already have an Orca card, or if it's stored on your Android phone, please be sure to bring the card and/or your phone with you. We'll then take the 70 minute ride to SeaTac to learn about the different stations and security measures available. We'll even identify where the station restrooms are!
Once we reach the airport stop, we'll walk approximately a quarter-mile into the airport proper (unless the shuttle is operating). After everyone is familiar with the general layout at the airport, we'll return to the station and head home.
