About this event
If your ideas about healthy eating are focused narrowly on protein, carbs and fat, you might be missing an important set of considerations. How are you feeding your gut microbiome? Modern diets low in whole plant-based foods and high in processing may be starving these important microbes and impacting our metabolic, immune, and psychological health. Dr. Chris Damman of UW’s gastroenterology department will provide us with information about the why, what and how of maintaining gut health as we age.
This event is sponsored by the University of Washington Retirement Association. You do not have to be a member to join the discussion. The Zoom link will be sent to registered attendees in advance of the event.
